Arguably the most entertaining NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race of the season is scheduled for Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET. The sixth annual running of the Eldora Dirt Derby will cap an evening full of great racing at the half-mile dirt track in western Ohio.

The Truck race at Eldora Speedway is the lone dirt race on any of NASCAR's three national series schedules. While a Monster Energy Cup Series race at the track has been described as "feasible," complications such at the venue's need to be retrofitted for Cup accommodations have kept any such race off the schedule. Of course, track owner Tony Stewart wants to see Xfinity and Cup Series races at Eldora, and he's not alone.

For now, the exclusivity of the Truck race at Eldora only adds to its appeal.

This year's Truck race at Eldora, which can be viewed on FS1, features a couple Cup Series regulars in the lineup. Ty Dillon will drive the No. 12 Chevy for Young's Motorsports, and Ryan Newman will pilot the No. 3 Chevy for Jordan Anderson Racing. Drivers who are now Cup Series regulars have won three of the five previous Truck races at Eldora — Austin Dillon in 2013, Bubba Wallace in 2014 and Kyle Larson in 2016.

Below is Wednesday's track schedule, the format for qualifying and the entry list for this year's Eldora Dirt Derby.

NASCAR Truck race at Eldora: Qualifying format

Qualifying for the Eldora Dirt Derby begins with single-car runs at 4:30 p.m. ET, and the results of the single-car runs will determine the starting lineups for the five qualifying races. The five qualifying races, which begin at 7 p.m. ET, are 10 laps each and will set the lineup for the actual race.

The top five finishers in each qualifying race will automatically advance to the Eldora Dirt Derby. After those races, there will be one 15-lap "last chance" qualifying race for trucks that have yet to advance, with the top two finishers getting into the race. The last five spots will be set by owner points.
