In his almost three-decade-long career, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has given numerous hits. Interestingly, the movie Maine Pyar Kiya which was Salman's grand entrance in the Hindi film industry has clocked in 29 years today. Released on December 29, 1989, Maine Pyar Kiya was directed by Sooraj Barjatya and featured Bhagyashree as the female lead. To mark the day, Bhagyashree took to her social media and shared a heartfelt post.
Bhagyashree shared a throwback photo of herself and Salman on her Twitter handle and wrote, "#MPK 29 years flown by....and love still makes the world go round."
Maine Pyar Kiya was not only the highest-grossing movie of the '80s, but it also got 12 Filmfare nominations and won six awards, including Best Male Debut and Best Female Debut for Salman and Bhagyashree, respectively.

The romantic drama was woven around Salman and Bhagyashree's characters Prem and Suman and narrated the tale of how they find a way to be with each other despite all the odds.

On the work front, Salman will soon re-start shooting for his next film Bharat. The movie is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and stars Katrina Kaif in the lead role. Bharat is based on the South Korean drama Ode To My Father.
Along with the lead duo, the flick also features Tabu, Nora Fatehi, Sunil Grover and Disha Patani in key roles. Bharat is slated for an Eid 2019 release.
