In another step back for Boeing (BA +0.1%), China Southern Airlines (ZNH +0.7%) says it has suspended its order for as many as 64 of the company's grounded 737 MAX 8 aircraft until necessary fixes are made on the aircraft.

The disclosure was made by U.K. and Ireland key account manager Dean Saxby, who also said the impact of the grounding has had little impact on the carrier's current operations.

"With all the aircraft coming on and the A350s, those aircraft have plugged some of those holes and we’ve had very minimal disruption," according to Saxby.

This was corrected on 08/01/2019 at 08:59 AM. The original posting of this article incorrectly stated that the MAX order was "canceled." In fact, the order was "suspended." Seeking Alpha regrets the error.
