5:23 p.m. Markets clawed their way out of a big hole on Wednesday.

After suffering losses of more than 1%, the Nasdaq Index finished in the green, up 0.4% at 7846.77, while the S&P 500 rose 0.1% to 2883.98.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is the laggard, in part, because of Disney ’s (ticker: DIS) earnings, which disappointed investors. The Dow fell 22.45 points, or 0.1%, to 26,007.07, after Disney dropped 4.9% to $134.86, shaving 45.19 points off the blue-chip benchmark.
